This 1973 rust-free California Bronco has been nicely restored by the former owner, who owned it for 15 years. It has a recently rebuilt 302 engine with only 1500 miles on it, with ribbed aluminum valve covers, headers and a stock air cleaner. It has a smooth shifting C-4 automatic transmission that shifts nice with a factory column shifter & custom steering wheel.

We just took possession of this vehicle. We immediately tore into the braking system and installed a different master cylinder & 4 new wheel cylinders. Now, it's stopping much better, but it still needs disc brakes up front. We will be doing more work to it shortly to make it a better and more complete vehicle. There were some tailgate rattle, but we installed a new tailgate lower seal & track plus some tailgate mid-line bumpers, now those rattles are gone.

The dual exhaust system has been routed correctly out behind the rear tires. It has a working heater. It has factory power steering that works well. It has power drum brakes, and stops well. It has a Dana 44 front axle and a Ford 9" rear axle, with a Dana 20 transfer case. It has new hub lock outs but they have not yet been installed. This Bronco has been sitting in his garage for close to 15 years but the owner does take it out every month so everything stays working properly. There is a small oil leak under the truck, which appears to be from sitting.

The interior is white and all stock, with a matching white rear seat (not currently installed) a white bikini top & a black four point roll bar. It has front shoulder belts. The seats have been restored, and it has a carpet kit that is in so-so condition. The interior is clean and there are still a few things that need to be done to complete the interior, including some things on the doors & the dash. The owner gave us the door safety straps, which have not been re-installed after paint. We will be installing the door panels & armrests & door cups on Friday 2-20-15, so the doors will be closer to being correct.

The $5,000 paint job was done with Du Pont Chroma Base paint and is very nice inside & outside. The body work was very well done and the body is very straight. It has front & rear white fiberglass fender flares and chrome front & rear bumpers. The body has been painted inside as well, the inside of the tailgate was not properly prepped because it did not matter to the owner, but it still looks good. It had new window felts & channels, plus all new body rubber when painted. The dash is missing some badges & emblems, but new dash badges have been ordered. We just installed new black armrests, door cups, window rollers, aluminum door panels, and new door safety straps.

The suspension is stock height and nothing has been done to the suspension. We test drove it and it drove well. The wheels are chrome 15x8's with Bridgestone Dualer HT 33x12.50x15 all terrain tires. It has dual front shocks that handle well.
