This Jeep CJ-7 belongs to a customer of Rocky Roads who has asked us to help him find a buyer. This Jeep brings back memories of when I had my first 4 wheel drive vehicle in 1988, a Jeep CJ-7. Before I got into Early Broncos in the early 90's, I was big into Jeep CJ'5's and CJ-7's because they are very fun to drive. I had 2 CJ-7's (one with a Factory V-8) and a CJ-5 with a six cylinder. All of these were really fun to drive especially when the top was off. The best part of the Jeep story is that they have not caught on like the Early Broncos have, and you can still buy them fairly inexpensively.

This Jeep CJ-7 is currently registered in Idaho & has been for the last 10 years. It has a fiberglass body which is apparently very rare for any Jeep. The owner built it to use as a tow vehicle behind his motor home when he was traveling, hence the light weight body, but he is no longer traveling so he's ready to pass it along to the next owner. It feels as sturdy as any metal body Jeep. The good thing about all Fiberglass is that it will never rust.

This unique Jeep CJ-7 has a fuel injected Buick 258 6 cylinder engine that runs like a clock. It has plenty of power, it has a custom intake manifold, a custom K&N chrome air cleaner & high output alternator, electronic ignition, custom battery cover, plus many more custom features. It has a four speed transmission, along with power steering & front disc brakes, but no power brakes (it really doesn't need them because it's so light). It runs, drives, steers and brakes like a new vehicle would. This Jeep runs & drives so much better than any Jeep I have ever driven, this is the main reason I decided to take it under our wing & help the owner find a buyer.

The white paint work (with red accents) was done a few years back and is really clean throughout. It has a newer grey soft top. The lower halves of the doors are steel, the upper doors are soft, and the door windows slide open & closed. The doors have brushed stainless steel interior paneling. It has polished chrome hinges throughout the hood & the exterior.

The highly customized dash is made from brushed aluminum, the gauges throughout the dash all work & they are all labeled, I believe it's been totally rewired. It has a tilt steering column & custom Grant GT steering wheel. It has a match painted white full roll cage that is very well done, with grab handles and retractable front seat belts. It has cool tinted sun visors that work well.

The under side of the Jeep is very clean. It has normal wear & tear for a 35 plus year old vehicle, but nothing out of the ordinary. The interior is very clean, it has high back bucket seats in front & a stock rear seat with a storage compartment under it. The owner keeps tools and a 65x4 Watt amplifier for the sound system in there so it;s all protected. He also has a CB radio stashed away under there. The stereo system works good & it all comes with the Jeep.
