This is a very, very special Bronco. Built by a gentleman who was an Early Bronco fanatic, and an aerospace engineer, who had complete knowledge of the entire build and did it ALL PROFESSIONALLY himself. If I were building myself a new Bronco, this is the guy I would want helping me!
Totally RUST-FREE CA Ranger model (with aluminum trim all around the restored hard top) and has been professionally maintained by the former owner, who owned it since 1997. RR recently aquired this awesome machine, and we plan to make this a SPECTACULAR vehicle. We have a huge BOX of receipts from the former owner, who had $35-$40K invested in this truck, plus hundreds of hours of his own time.
The engine is a fuel injected '95 5.0 Liter with FUEL INJECTION and very low original miles on it (around 50K miles), it passed the CA smog inspection every two years. (Just passed again on August 3rd). It can be serviced by ANY Ford dealership, or any local mechanic who knows how to work on Late model Mustangs. It has stock '95 Ford exhaust and catalytic converter, and the exhaust is correctly routed out behind the truck. The engine runs flawlessly, and get's 17 MPG+ in the city & over 20 MPG on the highway at 65 mph. This is VERY unusual for an Early Bronco, but there are several reasons for this. First, it has 4.56 gearing with 33" tires. Secondly, it has an A.O.D. late model automatic transmission with OVERDRIVE. Third, it is very finely tuned.
It comes with factory 4 turn power steering and factory power front disc brakes. It has a Dana 20 transfer case with twin stick shifters. ARB air lockers front and rear with 4.56 gears, full floater rear end, front & rear Warn lock out's, on-board compressor and air tank, Vintage Air conditioning plumbed into dash (needs "condenser" hooked up for cold air, but fan works and blows in outside temp. air when you're driving, which really helps on hot days...) rebuilt heavy duty Spicer front and rear drive shafts. Rock solid drivetrain. Turn-key & Extremely reliable.
The exterior paint has been restored with a Burgundy/Creme original styled paint scheme, and shines up nicely when buffed out. It has a a perfect clean black dash pad cover. It has chrome headlamp rings, a two-toned silver grill, and nice aluminum grille trim. Oversized chrome truck style door mirrors help see who is behind you.
It comes with a large storage box which bolts into the rear (when the rear seat is removed) that can hold tools and any other items, designed for Off-Road use. The red carpeting has been removed. The doors open and close perfectly and effortlessly, and the front windows have a light tint added. It has numerous Autometer column-mounted white faced 2 5/8" gauges with a stock '77 steering wheel. A black Confer roof rack has been added for extra storage. It also has high back shoulder seat belts in front, and black lap belts in the back.
The suspension is very durable, with a 2.5" suspension lift and a 2" body lift, dual Rancho 9000 five way adjustable shocks in front mounted to a dual-shock hoop system. Single Rancho 9000's in the rear. The front bumper is a heavy duty double tube style with a Warn 9500LB remote controlled winch & two chrome tow hooks in case someone else has to be rescued. It has a heavy duty black flat rear bumper with a heavily re-inforced factory spare tire carrier with 15 extra gallons of fuel dump cans. (which have recently been removed, but could again be reinstalled if desired)
The fuel tank is a single Northwest Metal Products 23 gallon tank (made for Fuel Injection). It has soft ride front and rear springs, and handles great. It has newer Mickey Thompson 15X12" aluminum mag wheels with BFG 33x12.50x15 Mud Terrain tires. The hard top has been restored, and has dark tinted windows and a LOT of interior insulation. We are installing a set of sliding side windows on the hard top in the coming week. It comes with black urethane front and rear fender flares. It also comes with a BRAND NEW black soft top with all hardware.
8-15-11 *** CURRENT WORK JUST COMPLETED: The six point roll cage with Grade 8 hardware has been removed. It was sanded, prepped, and refinished in a satin black enemal finish, then re-installed after the NEW LINEX BEDLINER was professionally installed. NEW Proto-Fab front and rear bumpers just installed and painted black, new front fog lights in front. New roll cage padding & wrapping added.
The front and rear seats have been removed, and have been restored in a black high quality vinyl, with the original Bronco seat pattern. The door panels have been replaced with new RR Pleaded vinyl door panels, and new RR Pleaded rear side panels and a tailgate panel have also been installed. New front and rear custom RR snap-in-and-out carpet mats have been installed.
Currently, the buyer asked us to re-finish the bronco in a two-stage silver Ford GT color, which was just applied, along with a new sound system, Autometer gauges moved from column to under dash brckets, new Grant steering wheel and MORE!
