This RUST FREE 1974 Blue Un-cut Bronco Explorer package was restored mostly by the prior owner, but RR has done a LOT of recent restoration work on it. This RARE Explorer package has a very strong running rebuilt 302 engine (rebuild receipt included) with a four barrel Edlebrock carburetor & intake manifold, K&N air cleaner, stock exhaust manifolds with dual exhaust pipes correctly routed out behind the rear tires. It runs very quitely and very smooth.
It has a rebuilt C-4 automatic transmission (with rebuild receipt) with the factory shifter on the column, stock power steering, a brand new power brake system, drum brakes, Dana 20 transfer case, Dana 44 front axle, and Ford 9" rear end. It runs great, steers great and brakes well, too. Very easy to drive and control around town or on the freeway at higher speeds. It is very straight, and has a clean Midnight Poly Blue paint job, with beautiful new tan interior & black carpeting (installed in May 2011). Recently restored stock set of 5 white 6" rims, brand new hub caps, and 5 new 235 75R 15 tires.
Just installed new TAN vinyl interior, as well as a NEW black soft top with tinted windows. When all 3 windows are unzipped and removed, the top converts into an extended bikini top, which has coverage for front & rear passengers. The Midnight poly blue paint job is very clean. It has a few small chips and smaller scratches from age. The aluminum body moldings are all in clean original condition. The interior was recently completely re-done. It has custom high back seats with tan vinyl fabric that look just like factory only taller, new high back shoulder belts in front, a matching tan factory rear seat with lep belts, new tan door panels, new carpet rails, new tan rear side panels, a new tan tailgate panel, new black loop carpeting throughout, plus a matching tan spare tire cover, along with a clean black vinyl center console with dual drink holders. It does have a working stereo mounted in the dash with a clean original antenna. We are installing a set of 6x9 speakers in back asap.
The doors open and close nicely, and the windows roll up and down smoothly. The wing windows open and close nicely, and have clean chrome levers. The 4 point roll bar has been mounted with heavy grade hardware, new black vinyl padding and wrapping has been added. It also comes with a newer black STC bikini top.
It has a nicely wrapped original steering wheel and a super clean match painted dash. The restored speedometer/odometer works well. Heater/electrical system works as it should, with a new heater control valve just installed. All dash pulls and bezels clean and work correctly. It has 2 stock fuel tanks, (8 and 12 gallon) both gauges and tanks working correctly. The side tank just got a new sending unit, and was recently re-sealed.
The suspension is stock height, and nearly everything has been replaced ("C" bushings, radius arm bushings, track bar bushings, etc) and it has a nice soft ride. It has factory chrome bumpers, a light duty tow hitch, and a factory spare tire carrier. A new pair of "Bumperettes" have just been installed on the front bumper.
*** Just blacked out the entire engine bay*** and refinished grille in a two-tone white enemal, plus added new FORD lettering.
